Classes are capped at 12 to ensure there is an intimate relationship between the instructor and client, focusing on individual needs with modifications.
This is our entry level Pilates class for new clients. Our FUNDAMENTALS level classes are designed to help you get an understanding of how the reformer works, the style of our Trainers, the language they use and an overall experience to know what to expect at ONE RFRM.
It is recommended you attend approximately 10 classes before giving our Intermediate classes a go. If you’re already a Pilates expert, try a handful of these classes before levelling up. If you’re a regular and/or you spilt up your week between Pilates and weight training, we encourage you to attend this class for active recovery.
This class is our middle level Pilates class designed for those with a good level of reformer experience. Our INTERMEDIATE class will help to start seeing results with your fitness levels, flexibility, confidence and perhaps even your appearance.
Working amongst a positive and thriving community, we want to be able to show you what you’re truly capable of whilst having fun and being supported all the way. This class is designed to challenge you, excite you but also leaving you wanting more.
We recommend you attend these classes on a regular basis.
The class is our top and most ADVANCED Pilates class on the schedule. This class is designed and recommended for those who are out growing the intermediate class and have a drive to push themselves even further. You can expect heavy springs, heavy dumbbells and a whole lot of support to get you through!
Initially, it is recommended you attend one Advanced class a week or when you’re ready for a challenge. Don't be afraid to keep coming back.
As Joseph Pilates used to say:
"In 10 sessions you will feel the difference.
In 20 you will see the difference, and in 30 you'll have a whole new body."
This class is perfect for those clients who are looking for something a little slower, focusing on form and breath. This class will also allow opportunities to focus on continuing the fundamentals of Pilates. STRETCH & RELEASE is a a low-impact, feel-good class that emphasises control, stability and lengthening.
We recommend attending one of these a week to help you focus on your recovery and allow opportunities to stretch.
Reformer Pilates primarily targets the core muscles, including the abdominals, obliques, lower back, and pelvic floor muscles. This helps in improving core strength, stability, and posture.
The resistance provided by the springs on the Reformer machine helps in toning muscles and increasing flexibility. It targets specific muscle groups, leading to long, lean muscles without bulk.
Reformer Pilates focuses on alignment and proper form, which can help correct posture imbalances and promote better posture over time.
Through precise movements and concentration, Reformer Pilates helps individuals develop a better understanding of their bodies, including how they move and where they hold tension.
The low-impact nature of Reformer Pilates makes it suitable for people of all fitness levels and ages, including those with joint issues or recovering from injuries. It can help improve joint mobility and strengthen supporting muscles, aiding in rehabilitation.
Reformer Pilates exercises often involve complex movements that challenge balance and coordination, leading to improvements in these areas over time.
Like other forms of exercise, Reformer Pilates can help reduce stress and promote relaxation by focusing the mind on movement and breath.
By strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, and enhancing body awareness, Reformer Pilates can help prevent injuries, particularly those related to poor posture or muscle imbalances.
Regular practice of Reformer Pilates can boost energy levels by improving circulation, enhancing breathing efficiency, and reducing tension in the body.
While Reformer Pilates may not burn as many calories as high-intensity cardio workouts, it can still contribute by building lean muscle mass, which increases metabolism, and promoting overall physical activity.
